Use Case or Problem
There are many folders in my vault that store files not supported by Obsidian, and I want to hide these folders from the explorer to keep it cleaner.
Proposed Solution
Add native support for:
“pinning” files/folders to the top of their current directory
Ability to hide/unhide files/folders from the explorer tab
A homepage/landing page
This image shows this functionality, added by the File Explorer++ plugin:
Current Workaround
Using the File Explorer++
plugin for pinning or hiding the folders.

Theses are distinct features, so should be separate feature requests. There may already be requests for some of them.
In the “homepage/landing page” one you’ll need to clarify what that means in the context of the file explorer.

Oh sorry, didn’t know had to be separate.
Regarding the “Home Page”, there could be an option (like the pin or hide) to mark a file
as a homepage, so when you restart Obsidian, it would automatically open that file. Just like an index page for a website.
