Best way to bring over web content without browser extension?

So I am new to all of this, and I am looking for the best way to work with bringing over web content into my notes. I am thinking of when I see an article that I want to save or even a part of an entire webpage. I am using a browser that doesn’t have an available extension so I don’t think that way will work. Is there a way to insert the url into the note and then it will save the entire webpage or similar?

If not I know that I could screenshot part of the page and bring it in as an image but I thought maybe there was a better way.

Do any of the available plug ins that work with web clipping work without installing a browser extension?

Also, if I do screenshot and make it an image file, would there be a way to use a triangle selection tool to reference back to just part of that image the way that you can highlight text in a pdf and then link to that exact part of the pdf?

Thanks!

If you select and copy the text you want and paste it into Obsidian, it will automatically be converted to Markdown (unless you’ve turned that setting off). I believe any images will be shown but the embeds will be pointing to the online image files. There’s a plugin that will download them and update the links to use the local copies.
