Use case or problem
I found myself fiddling with columns in a Base’s Table view to make a boolean property have the minimum column width, and new columns were out of view because the first one was too large.
Proposed solution
Implement a checkbox to enable automatic column width, with different modes set per column: Fill Remaining to use all the available remaining space, Fit Content to use the minimum width required by what’s displayed in the column (there probably are better names for this).
Like in CSS, having multiple columns in Fill Remaining would make them have equal widths.
Current workaround (optional)
Manually resize columns every time one is added or use the Extended Base plugin, which has another implementation of the Table view with automatic column width (but I think it overall looks worse than the default table view).
