Use case or problem
I use Bases for structured workflows, and I would like the New button to create notes in the correct folder and with the correct template already applied. At the moment, this does not seem configurable per Base, which limits how useful Bases are for things like projects, meetings, tasks, or reading notes.
Proposed solution
Please add per-Base options for:
- target folder for newly created notes
- default template for newly created notes
This would make the New action much more useful, since each Base could create notes directly in the right place and in the right format.
Current workaround (optional)
Right now, the workaround is to use plugins like Templater, for example through folder templates or custom scripts. That works, but it adds extra complexity and feels like a workaround for something that would fit naturally into Bases.
