Base doesn't add property when filter "has property" is set but property is not displayed

Steps to reproduce

  • Create a base
  • add a filter “file” “has property” and add any property
  • Hit the + New button to create a new file.
  • The resulting note has the message: “This note will be filtered out because it doesn’t meet your criteria”

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes

Expected result

A new file that has the required property.

Actual result

Base generates a file that gets filtered out of itself.

Additional information

The usual way to add a property to new notes is to add it in the “Property” dropdown, but there are plenty of situations where you will want a file to have a property that doesn’t show up in the base view.
