Use case or problem
I like using Obsidian in a sort of “journal-driven” way, where all inputs go into my daily notes, and get linked from there into topic pages (e.g. “Back end” or “Meeting notes”). The backlinks plugin is essential for this, as it lets me click on a topic page to view all the inputs in a single feed.
When I put a link into a template, this causes the template to show up in the backlinks view, even though conceptually, the template contains nothing. This is distracting and causes clutter.
Proposed solution
The backlinks plugin should allow the option to not display any links from a folder designated as containing templates in the templates plugin.
Alternatively, the backlinks plugin could respect the exclusion patterns defined in Obsidian.
