Backlink autofill shows different style of linking

Sorry for the bad title, but something’s changed in Obsidian. this video might help you understand my issue

Before this issue, whenever I pressed ‘Enter’ so that obsidian autofilled the page, it showed

Is this only happening to me or did Obsidian intentionally make this change.

I’m on macOS 10.15.6 with Obisidian v0.8.12

Edit: I found how to fix this, I recently turned on a feature called ‘Use Markdown Links’ in the editor tab. Turn off that feature and Obsidian will be back to normal

I see that this has been moved to #bug-graveyard so I imagine your issue was resolved. From the video, it looks like the preference for Markdown links was enabled.
