Automate a reference to "late dates headding 2"

Hey everyone,

I’m new to Obsidian, as well as Markdown, so I need some help. I want to automate my Daily templates as much as possible, and the most important feature to me now is an automated embedded reference to a header “New Goals” from the previous day so that each new day pulls in some short term goals and tasks I set for myself the previous day. It’s like automating the Bullet journal format for myself. Any pointers on how to create this in my 'Daily-Template"?
As of right now my knowledge has taken me as far as "![[“Something here to automate the process”#Goals from Yesterday]]

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

The Periodic Notes plugin enables template stuff (including date math) that will do what you want. I don’t know how I learned this because it’s not mentioned in the plugin’s README. @liam (Maybe I learned from @ryanjamurphy’s post? Daily notes (next-previous - #10 by ryanjamurphy)

Examples:

  • Link to yesterday: [[{{date-1d: YYYY-MM-DD}}]]
  • Link to tomorrow: [[{{date+1d: YYYY-MM-DD}}]]
