If you want to link to a file it would be nice if it would be possible to autocomplete this. Ie if you start with your home directory you should be able to press tab and eventually get to the path from there.

To my understanding this works at this time with files that obsidian can see, .md .pdf etc. but it’s Enter not tab?

However the result order appears rather random than smart. Often I have to type a significant part of the file in order for autocomplete to find the correct one.

A smarter sort logic like:

  1. first list results from current dir
  2. subdirs
  3. parent, etc.

would add a lot of efficiency here.
