Auto-refresh graph view on changes to notes

Steps to reproduce

  • Have any note open
  • Have the graph view open as well in a different pane
  • Add some text into the open note and link a different note inside it by typing [[ ]]

Expected result

The new link should appear on the already open graph view

Actual result

Nothing changes on the graph view. It needs to be opened again or Obsidian needs to be refreshed.

Environment

  • Operating system: Mac OS
  • Obsidian version: 0.7.3

Just throwing my hat in on this one. A lot of the note-taking and writing I do focuses on relationships between objects, and it’d be awesome to watch the network grow as I enter new links.

So long as you can afford the computer capable of keeping up

agreed, even if not real-time at least a button to manually refresh would be brilliant; thank you!!

When I say real-time, it could just refresh the graph view every time the file is saved. Hopefully that should be fine. Of course this is not for everyone but once we have graph filtering I feel this could be really interesting

During the node editing process, the results are not synchronized with Graph View in real time, which is very inconvenient to use. We suggest adding “GraphView Refresh” to the node right-click edit menu.
