While in the $math environment$, I would love for it to automatically pair certain tags - for example, if I type \begin{bmatrix}, having it automatically stick a \end{bmatrix} after my cursor would be a huge convenience. I’ve been playing around with making myself shortcuts in espanso, but a built in pairing would be even better

Yes, this is a fantastic idea, I would also love to see, since this already happens for other punctuation this seems like a natural next step
