Auto-fill aliases when creating a file from a link

Use case or problem

In a document, I am creating a link to a not-yet existing document:
[[prefix-green-thing|green thing]]
When I follow the link, I’d like the new document to be pre-populated.

Proposed solution

Auto-create a new file with this front matter from the link I followed

---
alias: [green thing]
---

when I follow a link that has a separate display text.
Even better, add all the link texts that have been used in links to this text, no matter where they were.

Current workaround (optional)

Either type out the whole front matter,
or insert the front matter from a template, then navigate carefully to the right spot, remember what the name for this was, and enter it again. If I was clever I can paste it.
