I had an idea for a plugin but I’m not sure it’s possible so I wanted to check first. Most jpeg pictures these days include GPS coordinates, and I use the Map View plugin extensively to locate the notes containing those pictures on a map. Would it be possible to create a plugin that receives a notification of a new picture being added to a note, scans the picture for GPS coordinate info, and, if the info is found, add an inline ‘geo:’ tag after the picture? The Binary File Manager plugin does something similar but I’m not sure it’s the same thing I’m looking for.
FYI - I’m a moderately decent Python programmer but I’ve only looked at Javascript once or twice so I’m a bit lost digging through the code for Binary File Manager to understand what it’s doing.
