Audio Recorder does not record sound from meeting participants when headset is connected

Hey,

when I connect my headset to my MacBook Pro and record the sound in Obsidian (Audio Recorder), I only hear my own voice when I listen to the recording. The sound from the meeting participants is then no longer recorded.
If I output the sound via my screen (i.e. no headset is connected) then the sound from the meeting participants is recorded normally.

Is it always only the input sound that is recorded with the audio recorder?
Do I have a possibility to record the sound from the meeting participants as well if I use a headset?
