Purchased obsidian sync using my PC, and also have the apps on my macbook and iphone. However, notes don’t seem to be sharing.

What do you mean with compatible?
The binary variants of Obsidian are different, and you can’t run the Obsidian binary from either OS on another OS. So that’s a firm no. The notes read by Obsidian are however very compatible, and can be read by either binary version of Obsidian.
As such, it shouldn’t be a problem to sync your vault between a PC, a macbook and a phone using Obsidian sync.
So if you don’t see the notes shared between your devices, you have most likely not configured the sync correctly. Do you see anything in the sync logs? Are they configured the same?
