Any way to turn off automatic code formatting for text which is indented?

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to write plain text, which is indented after a heading. However it always tries to format it as code. Is there any way to disable this formatting?

Things I have tried

I’ve tried to find a setting to disable it, as for some reason I remember there being one, however I couldn’t find any.

(Here is an example)

I haven’t come across a way to disable that from happening.

If you want to indent in Markdown, you generally need to do it within a sub-list. e.g.

## h2 heading

- Item 1
  - Sub-item 1
  - Sub-item 2
- Item 2

If you search the web for “indenting in markdown”, you’ll get some other options that don’t involve lists or sub-lists.

Hmm alright thank you for the response!
