Android app crashing consistently after startup

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Android Obsidian Vault
  2. Every time it starts indexing Vault
  3. Shortly after it finishes, it crashes

Expected result

Not indexing each time.
Not crashing.

Actual result

Unable to do mostly anything due to crashes.

Environment

Android Obsidian 1.4.9 (108) with Sync enabled

Additional information

It doesn’t happen on an empty experimental vault. Just on my main vault. It started occuring somewhere around a time when Sync synced my clippings, some of which had a pipe symbol in it (“|”) that was reported as “unsyncable”. I have no idea whether this is in any ways related, but adding it for context.

It’s hard to switch the vault or turn off the plugins as the indexing covers the settings and when it stops, Obsidian crashes…

Go into your file explorer and move out your .obsidian directory or at least the .obsidian/plugins directory out of your vault and then reopen Obsidian.

If it works, then you can move each plugin back one at a time to see which one is doing it.
