An option to make nodes bigger when they become more recurrent in others notes

Use case or problem

Dear Obsidian Team,

I’m doing a research and it would be great to visualize how relevent certain technologies, concepts and methods are among all the articles I’m reading. By the way graph view works now, the articles’ nodes get huge because I’m linking all the info inside them (meaning they approach a lot of things, which is also useful sometimes).

Proposed solution

I think it would be interesting if there was an option for toggling the way node sizes are shown. Currently, Notes’ nodes get bigger when they have several other notes/links inside them. What are your thoughts about an option to toggle between this, and the other way round: where a note’s node would get bigger the more they appear in other notes, even if it’s empty itself.

Toggle for how Node Sizes are Scaled in Local Graph

Nodes in the local graph are scaled by their depth from the selected note. I would love to have a toggle to scale by # of links. However, if others can think of other variables to scale by, perhaps there could be a dropdown box to select which one. This would apply to any of the nodes (e.g. Tags, Attachments), not just notes. My tags range from 1 to 82 links, so I’d like to see this reflected in the node size.

Graph nodes size should also depend on word count in addition to no of links

In Graph view, the node size increases with increasing number of backlinks. But in such a case 2 notes having a huge difference in word count(say 10 and 100) have the same size. Wouldn’t it make sense to also take into account the word count to determine node size in Graph View?

Graph view node size scale multiplier

Sometimes when it is very important to me to distinguish between the nodes that only have one connection and the nodes that have like 5-10, these two nodes almost look identical in size. It may be helpful to have a slider or shortcut to increase and decrease the node size scale multiplier. This may allow you to quickly find what you were looking for, then simply return the multiplier to a more reasonable value. Thanks.
