Allow multiple instances of Unique Note Creator

Use case or problem

Use Case

I use Unique Note Creator as a quick one-click way to create new notes in quick succession. Through this Core Template, each new note uses a specific template and stored in a specific location. For example, using a Dossier template, I will create a series of files to help me keep track of the needs of people. They are all stored in the same folder, and all have consistent people-related properties.

Problem

The problem is that I have several different template types and associated locations that I would use within a single vault.

After I finish making a series of Dossiers, I change my Unique Note Creator configuration to use a different template and a different folder. Say, Meeting Notes in a meeting notes folder. This way I have a one-click way of creating a new note in the appropriate location using the appropriate template. Much easier than using Templates/Templater, which require multiple clicks to select the template and then move files after I’m finished with them.

After a series of meetings, I’ll change my Unique Note Creator configuration again to create new notes related to projects: each with the same project template, in the same project folder, and with the same single-button creation.

Proposed solution

Allow for several different instances of Unique Note Creator so that I can have a single button in the ribbon for each of several types of notes. Each note type would have its own template and destination folder.

(Customizing the icon and hover text so that each instance can be distinguished would be useful too!)

Current workaround

I’ve tried combinations of third-party extensions. Auto Trigger Template is promising, but it still means a bit more navigation than I think should be necessary. In the end, reconfiguring Unique Note Creator has proven to be easier than my other attempts of solutions.
