I’m looking for something that, in the same vein as ChatGPT and Claude, can analyze my own content – my blog and my Obsidian vault. I don’t want it to add my content to a larger database, and I need it to be able to analyze the whole vault or whole blog, not just one or two notes/posts/documents at a time. I don’t think I want a plugin, though, because that type of plugin slows down my vault. I’m open to reconsideration on that, though.
I don’t know if there is such a thing already, but I’m having trouble with an internet search, because if “content” is in the search terms, I get hundreds of results about using AI to crreate content.
@a2jc4life , There are a lot of AI tools available for Obsidian now. The easiest way to discover them is to open the community plugin browser in Obsidian settings and search for Chat, OpenAI, or Smart.
If you want to keep your data completely on-premises, a local installation of a LLM (Large Language Model) is necessary. You can do that e.g. with Ollama. This approach requires technical skills on your side as well as a computer that is capable running a LLM. Alternatively you can use a paid service that guarantees privacy e.g. the one offered by the Smart Connections plugin.
