We all know that Obsidian isn’t savvy when it comes to the use of images- it’s one of the major drawbacks for me. However, it’s come very far; Excalibur has become a good dupe for something like PureRef, and there are a few other features that do help.
What I am wondering and hoping for as an artist is a way to push it further. Basically, right now my setup is using Obsidian for all notes and projects I need on the go, and then I use Eagle Cool to keep a database of images for projects and reference.
(I don’t know much about coding or creating things like this, so insight on the possibility would be fantastic.)
What I want to see is to somehow have my Eagle library on Obsidian to view. This might be a big ask and entirely outside of the range of Obsidian’s capabilities. But Eagle Cool also has a huge drawback - cross-platforming specifically on IOS (IOS is a curse and I dislike Apple but can’t do much about it now) - right now the only way to attempt to access my library on, say, my iPad or iPhone is to use Hive to unpack Eagle formatting.
Being able to put a library view of my Eagle library on Obsidian would be the cherry on top for work. - I don’t want to add images or take images out in this hypothetical; I just want to see my library and be able to access it on IOS at the very least.
A higher ask would be a plugin that has the library and auto syncs, etc, etc, but the major point is connecting images or folders to projects and notes.
