unless i’m mistaken it doesn’t seem like you can add properties/metadata to any media or attachments in your vault. this feature would be an absolute gamechanger for me & my work.
has anyone pondered this before, or discovered a way to do it? would love to hear what the community thinks. thanks very much (this is my first post in the forum

There was a Binary file manager plugin, but I hear it is unmaintained anymore.
Maybe there are others.
What file format do you imagine? Where should the metadata be stored?
One way is to you create a note, add your image and stuff your front matter with all the data you want. Then, use this note as embed in other notes.
A better way is to add metadata to images with exiftool or manipulate metadata in your file browser, if your file browser supports this.
What system are you on? Linux or Mac?
