Adding Headers in Notes via Header-level embeds

I often want to link a note to another note under a header that has yet to be created.

[[Name_of_note#New_Header]]

The Name_of_note document, recognizing there is no header called New_Header, would create one and link it. Currently, typing in a header that doesn’t exist does nothing.

Kind of interesting, but that sounds like one of those things that is easy to say and hard to implement. You are saying that by typing a certain string of characters in one note, you’d want Obsidian to automatically edit another note (or the current note in a different place), and insert a header somewhere.

Where would the header go? At the end of the note?

Should it add an extra space before or after the header?

Could be cool though. Might make a better plugin idea.

Plugin could be the right answer. It would go on its own line at the end of the document.

Another interesting idea would be to sort backlinks by header. Right now we can only view linked mentions sorted by date created, file name, etc. It would be great to be able to sort by headers too in order to better visualize the header level embeds that are pointing to the note you are viewing.
