Add tag to all files in a folder

Use case or problem

I like to start new clusters (say, a textbook chapter) in a separate directory.
I like to do some work there, and when I am happy enough, I put it into the big folder with all the other things.
Before that move, I’d like to add some tags to the front matter for all the files in the directory. (and create the front matter if needed).

Proposed solution

Right-click on the folder in file explorer, and “add tag”, type the tag to add to the files in the folder.

Current workaround (optional)

Do it by hand for each, or write a script. Arduous and error-prone at best.
Or make a template (but it’s necessary to get that right before doing any of the work!)

Hi,
I got the same problem and created a bash script to work around it.
Have a look, and feel free to use the script if it could help.

Cheers

+1, and I also think that this sort of native capability would be really helpful to round out the abilities of Properties. It would also be immensely useful to anyone trying to migrate from a folder-based system to a tagged one.
