Steps to reproduce
- Open the Sandbox vault
- In Settings > Editor > General, change “Default editing mode” to “Source mode”
- Open the context menu (three-dots menu) for any note (in the editor pane)
- The “Add file property” menu item is disabled, regardless of whether you’re in the reading view or the editing view
Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]
Yes
Expected result
The “Add file property” context menu item can be used with similar behavior to the keyboard shortcut (<Ctrl>/<Cmd>+<;>), whether using Live Preview or source mode. That is, in source mode reading view or Live Preview (reading or editing), it allows you to add a new property in the main editor view at the top of the document, while in the source mode editing view it brings up the properties sidebar.
Actual result
While the behavior is as expected in Live Preview, when using source mode, the “Add file property” context menu is greyed out and cannot be clicked, whether using reading view or editing view, while the shortcut (<Ctrl>/<Cmd>+<;>) works as expected and described above. See screenshot below.
