Use case or problem

Many of my audio files that I want to embed in notes are in AAC format. I don’t want to have to convert them to MP3 or other audio formats manually.

My wav files get converted to md files when I upload them via Obisidian mobile app.

Sending them through whatsapp converts it to aac, which can’t be played by the native Obsidian audio player.

Obsidian (via Chrome) supports AAC codec. The file needs to have the extension .m4a

There no need for chrome extensions.
The files has to have m4a extension.
