Add a native .vimrc file pleas

Hi everyone,

I’m a heavy user of Obsidian’s Vim mode, and I rely on the community plugin obsidian-vimrc-support.

The Problem:
I am concerned that this plugin might become unmaintained in the future, which would be a major issue for users who depend on it for their custom Vim configurations. Relying on a third-party plugin for such a core functionality feels a bit fragile.

Proposal / Feature Request:

Native .vimrc support: It would be fantastic if Obsidian could natively support a .vimrc file within the vault (e.g., in the .obsidian folder). This would ensure long-term stability and maintenance for custom Vim commands, mappings, and settings.

Native .viminfo support: To take the Vim integration to the next level, adding support for a .viminfo-like file would be a game-changer. This would allow markers, registers, and command history to persist across sessions, making Obsidian’s Vim mode feel much closer to a true, native Vim experience.
