Accidentaly deleted Vault

I was just deleting a few pictures over the Windows File-explorer and when opened up Obsidian again my entire Vault was empty.
i checked my Recycle bin yet found nothing.

At this point i would have included a list of settings and plugins, but they all no longer exist so that’s not possible :confused:

Its a bit of a long shot but if there is a simple fix (like a magical auto-backup folder) it would be amazing, but if the recovery takes longer than 2h or requires Datarecovery software (f.e. Recuva) then i would say that it was just my school-notes and the files aren’t worth the effort.

Do you know where the vault was stored on your PC?

If you can’t find it there via windows file explorer then recovery options are the only option unless you have backups/sync set up

Did you have your vault stored in OneDrive? If so, you need to have it set to keep the files always downloaded, or Obsidian can’t see them.
