Right now pasting anything strips all formatting to produce plain text.
It would be useful to have a “rich” paste command that preserves basic formatting, such as bold, italic, underline, bulleted/numbered lists, and existing hyperlinks, while dropping stuff like text size. In Microsoft Word this is known as “Merge Formatting”, a compromise between “Keep Source Formatting” and “Keep Text Only”.
This could use an alternate shortcut such as Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + V, sharing the same mode as Ability for links to be pasted with page's title.
