It would be great to have a way to lock nodes in place in the graph view, so they don’t shift due to the force directed layout when moving linked nodes. Ideally, this feature could work together with the Persistent Graph plugin: I could first lock nodes, then save their positions. This way, when reopening the graph, the nodes would stay exactly where I want them, rather than partially moving because of the forces.
Use case: I often want to arrange clusters of notes in a precise layout to visualize connections clearly, but the current force simulation prevents fully controlling node positions. A node-locking feature would allow both precise arrangement and persistent layouts.
