Additional information
I’ve practically tried everything but to no avail. For example:
- turning the pc off and on again
- converting the original OTF font to other formats(like ttf)
- trying to render it in an unofficial way (e.g. using obsidian-custom-font plugin)
- changing Obsidian’s language
Honestly, I have no idea why this specific font fails to be rendered. I once suspected that the font file itself was somehow broken, but then it turned out every other app renders it correctly with ease.
I also encountered a bug that when Homura Mincho is used, Obsidian fails to recognize font’s priority order and uses the “failed Homura” font altogether.
See, even though Cascadia Mono is set as the first available font to be used, the interface font is not being Cascadia Mono.
Once I delete 01HomuraM from the interface font list, it starts to render Cascadia Mono correctly.
