Not sure if this is allowed - feel free to delete if it isn’t.

I would like to start a bounty to improve a dormant plugin: Liam Cain’s Calendar (the 6th most downloaded plugin).

It’s been nearly 3 years since the last update and there are two small-ish changes that would dramatically improve its usability for me:

  1. Make the month clickable so that it navigates to that month’s periodic note
  2. Make the year clickable so that it navigates to that year’s periodic note

As a bonus, it would be great to have Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 added in small text under the month/year and be made clickable - but this isn’t nearly as important to me and isn’t necessary for the $200.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

As somebody who doesn’t know how to develop plugins, I figured I would put my money where my mouth is and offer up an initial $200 to fork the Calendar plugin and make these improvements.

If anybody would like to add to that bounty, feel free to chime in! And if you would like to tackle this upgrade, let me know.

P.S. Thank you Liam for such awesome plugins! I know you’re very busy at Obsidian HQ so no shade at all for the lack of updates. I use these plugins daily and love them.

I use Journals and Journal Folder plugin to navigate between days, weeks, quarters, months and year. I am not a developer but I can share you my workflow if you want.

Thanks! I’m very interested. It might be a good stopgap while I try to get the native functionality built.

I agree. Please do check your inbox.

According to @Liam, this functionality is already be available in the beta version, which can be installed with BRAT.

Thanks! I tested the Beta and there were a lot of other changes made that I didn’t love, so was hoping somebody could modify the original with the functionality.

I appreciate the note though and checking on that!
