I became an avid note taker for college, so I could take study notes, beginning with OneNote. It was alright, but being a Linux enthusiast at heart, I knew I needed to find alternatives to the various applications I daily use. This of course included my notes workflow.
At first, I found Joplin, which is a good application for sure, but there were various aspects about it that made it less than optimal for my workflow. I accidentally stumbled into discovering Obsidian one day, and despite it not being a FOSS application, after trying it I knew it was THE note-taking application I had been searching for all along.
Sadly I’m still using Windows on my since I’m a gamer and haven’t taken the courage yet to fully switch over.
