Writer (fiction and nonfiction) and lifelong learner. Main interest areas are natural science (esp. neuroscience and evolutionary studies), cognitive technologies, technological progress, psychology (memory, perception, sensation, emotions and feelings, learning, sense making, etc.), other social sciences (sociology, behavioral economics, geography, etc.).

Retired after 34+ year IT (digital publishing, requirements and systems analysis, IT management, contract oversight), information management, and knowledge management career. Prior work as a typesettter, carpenter, and architectural draftsman.

Obsidian interests me primarily as a tool for (a) PKM and (b) organization of writing and other projects. I’ve followed hypertext and hypermedia concepts and technologies since 1990.
