What I’m trying to do
I created my own citation style in zotero. (This is for a local genealogy magazine).
This citation works ok in zotero.
But when I try to create it in obsidian, I get the message “.csl not found”.
If I use another standard citation style, it does work…
Does anyone have an idea what might be going wrong?
Things I have tried
Zotero Obsidian Integration seems to check if the style exists on Zotero Style Repository.
Is it possible instead to check if the style (csl) is available in the local zotero styles directory?
This style is specific to a small genealogical magazine in the Netherlands, and as far as I can see, it will never be added to the official zotero styles database.
It’s worth trying to set your custom citation style as the Quick Copy style in Zotero (Settings → Export → Quick Copy → Item format), if you haven’t already, to see if that makes in available in Zotero Integration.
According to this, you need to specify the custom CSL style’s ID into the box where you select citation styles to make it work.
Thank you very much for the suggestion.
I have just tried that. It doesn’t seem to work (anymore?)…
Hello @Feralflora,
I tried all kind of things, but it still doesn’t seem to work…
Could this be because of a change in the latest version of Zotero (7.0.5 on Linux Mint)?
Thanks,
Eugene
