Use case or problem
I thought this was a bug; when I load a new workspace, it closes my currently open notes and opens some old ones.
Now I understand it’s a ‘feature.’
I can’t use workspaces like this. We need an option to keep the current notes open when switching to a new workspace.
Proposed solution
Make it an option.
Current workaround (optional)
There isn’t a workaround. Or at least I’m not aware of one.
Why? What’s the use case?
I work on the open notes. I would like to continue to work on the open notes. I don’t want them closed because I would need to reopen them again, and that’s time-consuming.
The workspace, the way I’m trying to use it, is to arrange the panels, turn some of them off and others on, or in some cases, hide the sidebars.
I never use workspaces to access old notes.
I don’t know how to explain it clearer than that.
The workspace inclusion of a snapshot of the notes opened is intentional and is part of the core functionality of that plugin.
It seems that you want just a quick way to change multiple aspects of the UI at once while keeping the current set of notes open untouched. It’s a different use case. Maybe worth posting in plugin ideas.
