Working safely in the Mac Finder (or other OS's file explorer)

Reality check: I can safely open and edit existing documents in the Mac Finder (or other OS’s file explorer), correct?

What might get me in trouble is using the Finder (or other non-Obsidian software) to create, rename, delete, or move documents inside an Obsidian vault. Correct?

Just want to confirm that: renaming the .md file using the finder, will not trigger the update of the internal link(including backlink) automatically. Is it correct?
