Why Do My Notes Contain Caret and a Number?

  • I searched Help and the Forum for “caret”.
  • I searched Help and the Forum for “nonstandard markdown”.

What I’m trying to do

Some of my notes have lines that end with things like “^e74c96” and “^a3ac96”. Why?

I vaguely recall turning on a feature that caused this. I can’t remember the name of the feature and I don’t recall what it does.

  1. Can someone please remind me what this does?
  2. Is there a complete list of all the extensions to Markdown that Obsidian implements? (If not, could we have one please?)
