Why did you choose obsidian instead of emacs?

with both platforms, creating a new note needs follow-up, either to place the note into a hierarchy (in org)[1] or to link the new note into existing note(s) (in Obsidian). Without at least one link, the new note/information in Obsidian will be an island in a sea of notes and wouldn’t be part of the “structure”.

[1] With org, you can also link a note to other notes (org-id) without having to refile the note into a hierarchy.

Hmm… I chose Obsidian over Emacs because it’s more user-friendly, especially for note-taking. Obsidian has a modern interface, is easy to set up, and offers great features like backlinks and graph views without needing complex configurations.
