Thanks for report and nice gif!

Steps to reproduce

Start to type out a link to an existing page for example:
For existing page called “Test Page” type: “[[test” then press tab.

Expected result

[[Test Page]]

Actual result

[[Test Page]]	]]

Environment

  • Operating system: Mac OSX 10.15.5
  • Obsidian version: v0.6.7
  • Using custom CSS: No

The same behaviour is currently also/still present on 0.7.4.

Can confirm. I didn’t notice it until the recent updates.

When a bug is fixed (or will be fixed in an upcoming release) is moved to Bug Graveyard.

A temporary solution is to disable Auto pair brackets in settings. Tab will still complete the link.

Environment

  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04
  • Obsidian version: v0.8.1.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Input an existed internal link
  2. Click Tab after the auto-completion [[EXISTED TAG]]

Actual result

  1. The double square parenthesis]] does not disappear like using return/enter
  2. The auto-complete prompt does not disappear.

Expected result

The same outcome like using return/enter
