What is this image above the keyboard?

What I’m trying to do

Not trying to do anything. Puzzled by this thing above the keyboard. Not certain, but I think it appeared after I upgraded my plugins. I would not know how to look for it in the help or to search for it here.

What is it’s purpose? Why is part of it duplicated. If it is not something I need, can it be removed? If it is, can it be toggled. If the duplicated part is simply duplication, can the duplication be removed?

Sorry I can’t display an image. The editor here won’t let me.

Also, when I have posted here before I have been able to see what my post will look like before it is posted. That doesn’t seem to be happening now.

Obsidian things

Disable all CSS snippets, switch to the default theme, and turn on Settings > Community plugins > Restricted mode.

  • If the image goes away, then one of those was responsible for it. You could use process of elimination to find out which one and what the image is for.

  • If the image remains, try to post your screenshot (see below) or look up examples of it in the docs so you can reference it.

Discord things

Until you have image-posting permissions, you could put your image somewhere online and paste the link to it here. If you can’t post links yet, wrap the image link in single backticks to mark it as code.

On the bottom-right of your Discord editor while typing a response, look for an icon with two right chevrons, here:

Click it.

If it’s not there, then you may have switched to the rich text editor. Press Ctrl + M or click this button on the top left of your editor:

… to see if that brings back the preview.

The button circled in yellow near the bottom of this pic should let you upload an image. On a bigger screen it may be in the toolbar atop the text area instead.

The button to its right, which looks like a computer screen, lets you preview. If you don’t see that button, you are probably in the forum’s new default Live Preview-like mode. The first button on the top toolbar (with a Markdown icon and an A) will switch to the old Markdown mode and the preview button will appear.
