What is the key binding to rename current note?

I tried googling this but to no avail. Searched under hotkeys and using ctrl-p (“rename”, “change name” etc)

I know this is possible because I once accidentally triggered this.

Would love to be able to change the name using a key binding!

Thank you so much for all your help!

It’s F2.

Thank you for your answer, @LauraSmith! That doesn’t seem to be working for me.

I have the note open. I press F2. Nothing happens.

Ideally, what I would love to happen, would be for me to press some key config and be brought over to the area of the GUI where I can change the title (I can click there with a mouse, then I can edit it, but I would love to not have to lift my hands of the keyboard).

I am quite convinced this once happened to me, but maybe I was seeing things…

Hmmm… What operating system are you on? Also forgive me if this is pointing out the obvious, but do you have the function keys active on your keyboard? Have you tried Fn+F2?

Ahh, it’s Edit File Title - that’s what you’re looking for in the hotkeys settings!

Thank you so much @LauraSmith that is wonderful!!!

I am on Windows btw, tried with both the Fn pressed and not, but that doesn’t matter anymore now that I have the key binding!

Thank you so much!
