Web Clipper with Claude AI only saves questions, not answers

What I’m trying to do

I haven’t used Obsidian before, but I thought I could use it with the Obsidian Web Clipper to archive and organize chat threads from Claude AI. I only want to do it for selected chats, so I don’t want to go through the “export your chat history to json” route - just use the web clipper. But when I try it, I only get the questions I asked, and the AI reply answers are missing.

Things I have tried

Using Firefox on Mac, I go to a Claude.ai thread and click the Web Clipper toolbar button. I see the metadata, but the text only shows my questions. I click on “Add to Obsidian”, and it gets saved, but still it’s just the questions, no answers, no web links, etc. I searched this forum, and saw a link to the Web Clipper release notes for 0.11.3 that say “Added built-in support for saving ChatGPT and Claude chats”. So I expected it to work, but it seems broken. Is there something I can do?

Apparently it was a bug in the Web Clipper, in the “defuddle” utility - see the issue at https://github.com/kepano/defuddle/issues/83 It’s working now - you get both sides of the conversation.
