Ways to control where new nodes show up in graph view?

whenever I create a new node, it tends to be placed in a random area of my graph. i.e., I’m looking at an area of my graph, I hit Ctrl+N to create a new node, then I hit Ctrl+G to go back to graph view, but I find myself in a different area, and I have to manually move the node to where I was before.

Is there a way to avoid this? Ideally, I’d like to create a node and have it show up in the graph area I was looking at

Not that I know of. You could try searching “graph” in the community plugins.
