This problem happens in windows too.

By the way, I am a Japanese user.
This problem occurs even if I am using a Japanese IME and am in ASCI character direct input mode.

I have the same issue with Korean. I hope it will be resolved soon.

This issue also occurs in the android app.

The fix for this will be included in the next major version Obsidian 1.2. No ETAs.

I’m using version 1.2.5 now and it seems to have fixed all my issues. Thanks a lot!
