Very bad Contrast in standardised Plugin Configuration Text Field

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a Sandbox Vault
  2. Download a Plugin which uses an editable Text Field in its config (I used LaTeX Suite)
  3. Select the editable text field
  4. Use ctrl+f to search for text
  5. Cannot see any text inside the search boxes due to bad contrast

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? Yes

Yes

Expected result

All text in the Search Bar is readable and follows the default theme

This seems like something you should report on the plugin’s GitHub page.

But aren’t the elements in the config screens all standardized across plugins?

no some plugins run their own thing

It’s likely a theme-related thing, happens when the text color or background isn’t set right for certain UI elements. You could try switching themes to see if it helps. If not, maybe tweaking the CSS could improve the contrast.

I have tested it with the AMOLED theme as well and it wasn’t fixed. (The original picture shows the default theme). Though for me it’s not that big of a deal. I just though that it might be helpful to report, since I had assumed that it was standardised

I just checked the documentation and there does seem to be a standardized text field element.

Yes and I said that some plugin run their own thing.

Please, open an issue in that plugin repository.

Alright thank you! I guess I’ll do that.
