Vault within google drive doesn't seem to be updated

What I’m trying to do

I want to open and modify the same vault on two pc, and have the changes updated on the other pc instantly.

Things I have tried

I put a vault in a google drive. vault is opened on two pc, however whenever I modified a note in the vault with computer A, computer B’s vault is not updated, even though google drive is updated right away on computer B. I have to delete the vault on computer B and re-open it. (seems like it triggers a re-index?). Only then computer B will read the updated vault. What gives?

I can always use syncthing on computer B and mirrow in the vault from computer A, but I feel google drive should do the same job.

Are you sure you need to delete it, and reopen? If the local file on Computer B is updated, it might be enough to just reopen that particular file. And possibly you would need to do Settings > Files and links > Rebuild vault cache to trigger Obsidian on Computer B to understand something has happened.

Potentially just a Force reload might update stuff too (or if going through the Command palette : Reload app without saving.

Could be, but the issue still stands, is there no way for instant update when using google drive link? seems it has to be done through synthing?
