Vault on an SMB server

Things I have tried

I am currently running Fedora 36 on my desktop system. I also have a samba serve setup so I can share files with my laptop. When I try to open a folder as a vault, using the shared folder, nothing happens. I can see the shared folders, I can click on the shared folder but when I press select it is as if i did nothing.

Is there a way to open a vault on a shared samba drive?
