Using Espanso for callouts add double >

What I’m trying to do

I’m using Espanso app to insert callouts and when I do it, I always get double >.

Things I have tried

This is my Espanso trigger:

When I use it in Obsidian I get this:

The extra space at the end seems to be an issue with Espanso itself that I’m already trying to figure out with the Espanso team/community. I just don’t understand why Obsidian adds >> instead of >?

I just tried creating a Text Replacement “item” and it works fine with Obsidian. I don’t get the double >> and I don’t get the extra line at the bottom either (you can’t see the whole thing in this image, but it’s the same thing I have in Espanso)

So what’s weird here is that the Espanso option adds the double >> in Obsidian, but not in Notes app, for example.

SOLVED!

The issue was with how Espanso added the content to replace the trigger.

In Obsidian when I have for example
> [!NOTE] Title
and I hit Enter, the next line contains > automatically. So it seems that Espanso is not pasting the whole replace content as a block, instead it’s pasting for example > [!NOTE] Title, then hitting Enter (which adds > to the next line automatically), and then pastes > Contents, giving me > > Contents . The way I was able to fix this was to change my replace to:

Now everything is working!
