Using CTRL+BACKSPACE to remove words like "can't" is unnecessarily tedious

When using CTRL+BACKSPACE to remove words, Obsidian essentially counts punctuation marks as words in and of themselves. This behavior is more akin to programming software than text editing software, and makes using CTRL+BACKSPACE to remove words like “it’s”, “you’re” and “can’t” unnecessarily tedious.
Modern text editing software usually count punctuation as part of the word they’re attached to.

Can there be an option to change this behavior to be in-line with modern text editing software?
